Defense ministers from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Poland, the E5 group, met in Paris on October 26 to discuss support for Ukraine ahead of winter. The group reaffirmed unwavering support for Ukraine and named Russia as its main security threat. The countries said they are ready to provide reliable security guarantees after a ceasefire or a peace agreement. The statements did not set out new funding or weapons commitments.
