Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada backed an appeal for Kostiantyn Vlasenko to receive the Hero of Ukraine title for holding a Kupiansk position 491 days. Vlasenko was evacuated after suffering severe injuries in a unique aerial evacuation operation, according to Ukrinform. The appeal now goes to President Zelensky, who has not yet decided on the award.
