Around 36,600 people have fled into northern Kenya after renewed fighting on the Ethiopian side of the border, UN News reported on Tuesday. UN News reported that the uptick in fighting in Ethiopia drove the displacement into Kenya. The report, part of its World News in Brief, gave no further details on the fighting, its combatants or the conditions facing those who crossed. The figure is the latest sign of pressure on border communities in the Horn of Africa.
