An Iraqi court sentenced six French men to life in prison on Tuesday for membership of the Islamic State group, according to a source cited by France 24. The men are among 47 French IS suspects transferred last year from detention in Syria to Iraq under an arrangement coordinated by US forces and Iraqi authorities. The sentences add to the legal fallout over foreign fighters held in the region. The report did not give further details on the trial.
