The European Commission has unveiled a plan to give the Frontex border agency more resources and new powers to ensure the return of irregular migrants, Deutsche Welle reported. The plan includes support for non-EU countries in carrying out returns. It follows the tragedy in Ceuta, the Spanish enclave at the centre of the recent migrant crisis. The report gave no further details on the funding, legal changes or timetable for the proposal.
