Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich pledged to expand Jewish settlements in Gaza and the West Bank and to reject territorial withdrawals from Lebanon and Syria. He made the vow after his Religious Zionist Party won a projected six Knesset seats, despite earlier polls suggesting it might fail to enter parliament. The remarks came while Israel's election results were still being counted and no bloc had a majority.
