NASA released a Webb image of N159, a turbulent star-forming region filled with dense clumps of gas, located about 161,000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The image was released on October 22, 2026, and NASA published it on October 28. The region has lower metallicity than the Milky Way, which astronomers study to understand how stars form in different environments.
