NASA's Curiosity rover is preparing its next drill campaign at a target called Nazca on Mars, according to a NASA blog post dated October 28, 2026. The post was written by planetary scientist Lucy Lim of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Following the Basque Lakes drill campaign, the team moved to a spot a few meters from the Chiu Chiu block, because Chiu Chiu itself was not a good drilling candidate.
