President Volodymyr Zelensky said the United States proposed demilitarized zones in Donbas and on part of the Kinburn Spit during peace negotiations. Kyiv Post reported that Ukraine was prepared to discuss a compromise involving a zone on both sides of the front line. The ideas appeared in successive negotiating documents, but no agreement on territorial issues has been reached.
