Russia launched an Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missile and 88 Shahed-type drones at Ukraine overnight on October 28, including 38 jet-powered drones. Ukraine's air defenses said they destroyed or jammed 71 drones, with strikes recorded at eight locations. The Kyiv Independent reported that the overnight attack was followed by a 30-hour ceasefire in Oleshky, while Russian strikes killed two people and injured 17 others elsewhere in Ukraine over the past day. The reports did not give a breakdown of damage by location.
