Israel's pro-Netanyahu bloc held a slight lead over the anti-Netanyahu bloc with more than half of the votes counted, Deutsche Welle reported on October 28, 2026. Partial results suggest neither bloc will win an outright majority, and the final tally could take days. France 24 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and rival Gadi Eisenkot both pledged to form a government, as the two were projected to finish neck and neck. Exit polls also showed both blocs falling short of a parliamentary majority. Tough coalition negotiations are expected once the results are final, and the outcome will determine who can form a government.
