Savannah Chrisley announced her engagement and pregnancy to Jason Galanis, a convicted fraudster whose sentence was commuted by President Trump, and coverage on October 28 dug into his record. TMZ reported that he pleaded guilty to defrauding a Native American tribal entity, pocketing more than $8 million, and was sentenced to 189 months. His father was also convicted in a fraud scheme, and records show he was praised in prison for teaching other inmates. The White House said there was no apparent link to Trump's pardon of her parents. Galanis wrote a remorseful letter to the judge before sentencing, his ex-wife Monet Berger said she was a victim of his fraud, and Chrisley bought a $2.2M Nashville home where they live.
