Israel's communications law has been suspended while the High Court of Justice examines legal challenges, the Jerusalem Post reported on 2026-10-29. In September, Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara asked the court to freeze the Broadcasting Law until it rules on 11 petitions challenging it. The freeze leaves the contested legislation on hold pending the court's decision on the petitions.
