Yemeni tribal leaders gathered at the United Nations on Thursday, 2026-10-29, to launch an agreed set of principles aimed at protecting civilians and improving aid access in the war-torn country. Middle East Eye reported that the Yemeni Tribal Code of Honour for the Protection of Civilians draws on tribal customs, Islamic values and international humanitarian norms. The leaders hope the measures will help ease the humanitarian crisis gripping Yemen.
