A Tel Aviv court approved a further 90-day extension of Israel's closure of Al Jazeera's office and ban on its operations, Middle East Eye reported on 2026-10-29. Israel first banned the network in May 2024 under a law targeting foreign broadcasters deemed a threat to national security. Israeli forces also raided and closed the network's Ramallah office in the occupied West Bank in September 2024. Al Jazeera has condemned the bans.
