The UK Maritime Trade Operations centre said a tanker was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting outbound through the Strait of Hormuz, with no injuries or environmental impact reported. Separately, authorities said a dhow caught fire off the Omani coast after an attack, and its crew was evacuated before the vessel sank. The two incidents add to recent maritime security concerns in the strait. Neither report identified who was responsible.
