Italy's foreign ministry called on Thursday for the immediate release of five Italian activists detained in the occupied West Bank near the village of Al-Lubban al-Gharbiyye. The ministry said they were present alongside Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest when they were detained. Separately, reports said activists were arrested after footage showed settlers beating them in the South Hebron Hills, and US Ambassador Mike Huckabee denied a claim of ignoring the attack.
