Russian forces struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles late on October 29, 2026, hitting warehouse buildings in the Darnytskyi district and starting a fire. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said debris and blast waves damaged residential buildings and private cars in the Dniprovskyi district, and no casualties were reported in the capital. Kyiv Post reported that daytime attacks the same day killed 20 people and injured at least 109 elsewhere. Zelensky said Ukrainian intelligence shows Russia is preparing new ballistic missile strikes and urged partners to supply air defence.
