Ethiopia has acquired Russian fighter jets and air defence systems, according to BBC World. The acquisition comes as fighting continues in northern Tigray, which began last month. BBC World did not give details of the number of aircraft, the delivery timeline or the systems involved. The report also did not say which Ethiopian forces will operate the equipment or how it may affect the conflict.
