A planned six-day ceasefire brokered by US first lady Melania Trump has brought rare quiet to the Ukrainian-held city of Kherson. A local pause in fighting began at 3am on Tuesday to let medicine, food and water reach the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky. Evacuation corridors are due to open later in the week. The reports did not give further details on the terms of the truce.
