Since early October Houthi forces have encircled Taiz, Yemen's third-largest city, cutting off nearly a million people from food aid, Middle East Eye reported. Analyst Baraa Shiban, who recently returned from the city, warns against framing the war as a simple contest between the Houthis and their opponents. He calls that framing a mistake, and says the conflict remains widely underreported.
