The Radin Yeshiva, founded in 1869 by Lithuanian Rabbi Yisrael Meir ha-Kohen Kagan, has reopened for students in Belarus for the first time since World War II, The Times of Israel reported. The building had been converted into a theater after its history was obscured by the Holocaust and Soviet rule. The reopening restores a centre of Jewish learning that had been lost for decades.
