The Israeli military said it killed a Hamas commander involved in holding Noa Argamani and 11 other hostages after the October 7 attack. The IDF said the two terrorists it killed had advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians throughout the war and worked to restore Hamas's military capabilities. The Times of Israel reported that the Shin Bet has let at least six Hamas operatives in airstrikes this week choose whether to be killed alone or with their families. The IDF identified at least six members of the group it killed in the strikes, including the commander involved in holding numerous hostages in the Strip.
