A tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was struck by a small boat carrying two explosive devices attached to its hull, the UK Maritime Trade Operations said. The blasts sparked a fire in the engine room that temporarily disabled the vessel, but the crew were safe and the fire was extinguished. UKMTO said there was no environmental impact and the ship was continuing to its next port of call. Middle East Eye reported the update, which was issued on Friday.
