The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone launched over the Mecca region, according to a brief report that gave no further details. The Jerusalem Post and Middle East Eye carried the same account. Yemen's Houthis denied launching any attack towards Saudi Arabia on Friday. Military spokesperson Yahya Saree said on X that the group had not carried out any operation targeting Saudi territory and that its operations target Saudi oil facilities and military bases. Reuters reported the denial, which disputes the coalition's account of who launched the drone.
