Waymo will begin testing self-driving versions of Toyota's electric bZ4X vehicles in Japan next year, TechCrunch reported on October 30, 2026. The testing is part of a broader partnership between Waymo and the automaker that also covers robotaxis for the U.K. The partnership gives Waymo a manufacturing partner for vehicles it plans to deploy outside the United States.
