The Kyiv Independent published an investigation and a documentary finding that Ukrainians in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, the EU countries that took in the most Ukrainian refugees, increasingly face insults and knife attacks. Its journalists analyzed tens of thousands of posts on X and found the same narratives circulating online. The Kyiv Independent released the documentary Dealer of Hate by reporter Danylo Mokryk, examining aggression against Ukrainians in these countries since the full-scale invasion in February 2022.
