The European Commission proposed a 45 billion euro spending plan for Ukraine in 2027, with roughly 31.7 billion euros, about $35 billion, allocated to support Ukraine's defense industrial capacity, the Kyiv Independent reported. Ukrainska Pravda reported that Brussels plans to disburse around 7.8 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility. Ukrainska Pravda noted that the disbursement goes ahead despite outstanding reforms on supervisory boards at state-owned businesses and the energy market.
