A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Papua New Guinea at 03:04 UTC on 30 October 2026 at a depth of about 116 kilometres, according to GDACS, which issued a green alert. GDACS estimated about 90 thousand people live within 100 km. No damage, injuries or deaths are reported.
