Iran has proposed a joint peace and friendship park with Armenia to cooperate on biodiversity and wildlife protection in the Caucasus, Tehran Times reported. Separately, IRNA reported that Iran is ready to join three initiatives launched by the presidency of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, covering biodiversity monitoring, mountain and freshwater ecosystems, and conservation areas. Neither report gave a timeline or any signed commitments.
