First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref ordered the formation of five specialized committees to prepare Tehran's hosting of the Economic Cooperation Organization summit at the highest possible level. The committees will cover cultural, tourism, diplomatic, economic and political affairs, according to Tehran Times, which reported the order on October 31, 2026 and gave no date for the summit.
