US Central Command said that as of October 31 its forces had redirected 144 commercial vessels as part of an 'ironclad' naval blockade against Iran. In a post on X, Centcom said the ships were redirected to ensure compliance and that the George Washington aircraft carrier was supporting enforcement of the blockade. The total is up from 135 vessels reported earlier in the month, according to Middle East Eye, which reported the update.
