Iran has designated Britain's MI6 intelligence service as a hostile group and declared the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force terrorist organizations, according to IRNA, the Iranian state news agency. Tehran described the move as a retaliation against London's actions toward the Islamic Republic. IRNA did not detail the specific British actions cited or any immediate practical consequences of the designations. No British response was included in the report.
