Accused members of the Islamic State group, including French nationals, are on trial in Iraq for atrocities committed against people trapped in the so-called caliphate, Al-Monitor reported. The trials come years after the group's military defeat in Syria and Iraq, when it broadcast its crimes and recruited radicals from around the world.
