A UCLA study reports that long-term exposure to a common pesticide is linked to more than 2.5 times the risk of Parkinson's disease. Researchers also examined how the chemical damages brain cells and identified a promising way to protect them. The findings were reported by ScienceDaily and show an association rather than proof that the pesticide causes the disease.
