IRGC Navy says it shot down US MQ9 drone and captured two more

Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps said on Monday, November 2, 2026, it shot down an advanced US MQ9 drone over the Strait of Hormuz. IRNA also reported that the IRGC Navy captured the third and fourth US reconnaissance and decoy drones intact west of the strait, after taking control of their guidance systems. The claims were carried by IRNA and have not been independently confirmed. They come amid renewed US threats of strikes and the disruption to shipping in the strait.
