Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis have advanced to within 80 km of Aden, the temporary capital of the internationally recognised government, four military sources told Reuters on Monday, 2 November 2026. The advance brings the Houthis closer to Aden than at any point since the early months of the 2015 war, when they briefly entered the city before being driven out. The report gave no details on front lines or casualties.
