BMW says it will expand its navigation-guided, partially automated driving into urban environments starting in 2027, launching first in Germany. The system can steer, accelerate and brake on highways and city streets using GPS navigation. In town it can help change lanes, make turns, yield to other cars and drive through roundabouts, but as a Level 2 system it requires driver supervision.
