Poland is transforming a territorial defence unit into the Warmia-Masuria Border Guard Unit by the end of 2026 to secure its border with Russia, RMF24 reported. Ukrainska Pravda carried the report on 2 November 2026. The sources give no further details on the size or deployment of the new unit.
