Europe experienced a second wave of cyberattacks on supermarket refrigeration systems on 2 November 2026. More than 100 stores across the EU, in Belgium, Estonia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden, had to throw out spoiled food after freezers were remotely set as high as 50°C. It remains unclear who carried out the attacks, which has heightened Europe's concerns about hybrid threats, Kyiv Post reported. The sources do not link the attacks to Russia.
