Dutch police have offered a record €2m reward for information leading to Jos Leijdekkers, a drug lord found guilty in absentia of cocaine smuggling and believed to be in Sierra Leone. BBC World reported the reward on November 2, 2026. Leijdekkers was convicted without being present at his trial, and the report did not give further details on the investigation or the search for him.
