Yemen's internationally recognised government said its forces recaptured positions from Houthi fighters in northern Lahij governorate, reported on 3 November 2026, alongside a claim of 951 operations in 24 hours. A government statement said troops retook positions in the al-Khazzan al-Ahmar area on the al-Nusayrah front in al-Maqatirah district and repelled Houthi attacks. Army spokesperson Majed al-Nuzaili said the operations, part of Operation Dawn of Yemen, neutralized about 332 Houthi commanders and fighters and destroyed or damaged 56 vehicles, equipment and weapons. Both claims come from Middle East Eye reporting of government statements and were not independently verified.
