Syrian authorities said they arrested two members of a Hezbollah cell and seized explosives allegedly intended for an attack on the Homs refinery, the last operational facility after the civil war. Al-Monitor reported that Syria has intensified its crackdown on alleged Hezbollah plans to launch attacks inside Syrian territory and on smuggling attempts. The Times of Israel reported the arrests on Tuesday. The plot adds to tensions over Hezbollah activity beyond Lebanon.
