Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman and US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth discussed efforts to ease tensions in the Gulf during a phone call. The Saudi Press Agency reported the call on 3 November 2026. According to the agency's readout, the two also discussed Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and defence cooperation between the two countries.
