Haaretz reported that Netanyahu's Likud is weighing whether to refuse to recognize the election results, a move that would be unprecedented in Israel and would likely be swiftly overturned by the courts. The Jerusalem Post reported that the Shin Bet has expanded its election interference probe to suspected Palestinian Authority funding, but the investigation is preliminary and investigators have not established whether money was transferred, how much was involved, or its purpose. Separately, freed suspect Saef Abu Reash, a doctor arrested in an alleged Ra'am vote-buying scheme, told an Israeli daily his arrest was political persecution and said police presented no evidence. Knesset member Ofer Cassif accused Netanyahu of using incitement and scapegoating over Arab voter turnout and claims of foreign interference and voter fraud. Haaretz also published an editorial arguing for ending open-ended funding of reserve duty days.
