Russia confirmed it will join a trilateral meeting with the United States and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11, sending Vladimir Medinsky to lead its delegation. Kyiv Post reported that Medinsky also led Russia's delegation at the summer 2025 Istanbul talks, which produced only prisoner swaps and no ceasefire. Ukraine had previously accused Medinsky of threatening its delegation, raising doubts about whether the Abu Dhabi round will produce a breakthrough.
