Nordic and Czech nations and other European hosts vow to boycott Russia at 2027 hockey championship

Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Latvia and the Czech Republic said they will boycott the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championship if Russia is allowed to take part, following a CAS decision to readmit Russia. The German Ice Hockey Federation said that allowing Russia to participate would have significant security, political and economic consequences for the hosts. Several corporate sponsors have also threatened to pull support from future events.
