The Japan quake, magnitude 5.2 at 16:48 UTC at about 139 km depth, potentially affected 2 thousand people within 100 km. A magnitude 4.89 quake in Mexico at 18:27 UTC, 15.6 km deep, potentially affected 20 thousand people at shaking intensity V. A magnitude 5.2 quake on the Mid-Indian Ridge at 18:21 UTC, 10 km deep, was listed with no people affected within 100 km. The alerts report no deaths, injuries or damage.
