Israel's opposition is set to meet on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, to decide how to unite behind Gadi Eisenkot after a closely contested election. All parties in Eisenkot's change bloc have endorsed him as the next prime minister. Neither Eisenkot's bloc nor Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing alliance won a majority in the Knesset, according to France 24. Netanyahu has said voters chose him for prime minister. The main open question for the opposition is whether to join with the Arab parties, which made surprise gains in the vote.
