France 24 reported that Ukraine and Russia are increasingly taking the war underground as drones saturate the battlefield. Zelenskyy recently praised Operation Veles, in which Ukrainian troops moved deep into a disused gas pipeline in the Kupiansk region to confront Russian forces. The report said Russian forces have used underground tactics for more than two years to slip past Ukrainian lines, and that Kyiv is now adopting the approach as a new strategy on the battlefield.
